Talent Releases

Adult Release

I took many photos at gigs and and concerts and every one I took photos of I had legal permission to take photos off. I did a Adult release for Connor Harrison  due to not having permission and needing to. This form shows that I have full consent to take and use photos and place them on my blog and music magazine of him.

Location/ Props / Costumes

The location of where I am going to have my photo is my house as it it very easy access for me and the person I am talking photos of. At my house I have make up I want to use and the props and costumes I may include when taking my photos. At my house I have many white backgrounds, I want to take photos against a clear white background so when it comes to photo shopping my work it is will be easy to just get the outline of my model. I also want the background of my magazine to be white so when it comes to to taking my images I can have a clear few of what it will look like in the front cover.
I have many other locations where I have been to concerts this incudes Norwich Arts centre, UEA LCA and the Water Front these are images I have already taken. These image will be used for my contents page as they are photos of gigs and artist that are alternative, rock and indie meaning they all can be included in my magazine. These images also will relate to some of my cover lines and such as gig guide. I need to make sure all the images I include in my magazine will interest the readers and link to the style if music I want to promote in my magazine.

I wont be using any props when it comes to my images as I feel it will take away the main focus of front cover image.

I want my front cover to be bold so the image must my bold. For this I want the artist on my front cover to have a bold outfit. My costume must be black and white as I also want to to fit the colour scheme of my magazine. The costume must also appeal to my target audience; it must be a style they like or would inspire them to follow that style. This means I will include doc martins as these are a popular product that all young people wear and would interest my target audience.
On the bottom half of my model I will have them wear black jeans or black trousers. I want my model to also wear some form of logo top/ jacket or band march of and band that maybe included in the magazine is will all so be a feature in my magazine ‘band merch'. I may also include a checked shirt as a checked shirt is a item of clothing my target audience wear. I will also include jewelry a nose ring and bold make up that will make my model stand out and look unique. I have chosen all the costume due to my target market as I want them to be attracted to the image that is on my front cover and also like the style of my model/artist.

Mood boards for planning

Font mood board

For my font mood bored I use a website called dafont which allowed me to access font that I would not be able to access on word processors. This means I was able to find different and original font that are less common and less well known. As my music magazine is promoting alternative, rock and indie music I want a fount which reflects these. To reflect these, I chose fonts that where distorted, miss sharpen and even fonts that have lines through them. I need to make sure my font attracts my target audience if the magazine doesn’t look astatically pleasing less people will be drawn to read it. I want the master head to be a font that stands out and catches people attention. When it comes to the main cover line and cover lines I want a fount that is bold so people can easily see what is in my magazine such as articles and features. When it comes to the feature article I need a front that is clear and easy to read and is very practical. I only want to stick to 3 fonts this is so my magazine stays neat and organised. The font need to be very practical but also have style and when my audience read my magazine I want the magazine to stand out to them but also be an easy and practical read.

Colour mood bored
My colour mood bored is all basted on the the answers I got in my music magazine questionnaire. The colours I got the most answers for was gold, red, white, black and silver. I need to include some of these colours in my magazine as doing the reassure this is what I fount my audience demanded the most. On this mood bored I tried to find what colours contrast the most, in the end that was red, gold, black and white. Also included lost of shaded the the colours and I want my magazine to be astatically pleasing and to succeed this I need the colours to contrast together. In the end I made the conclusion that gold and silver did not contest together and I wanted one of these colours to be my master head and over things I wanted to sand out. In the end I have decided to include 3 colours gold, white and black also a hint of red. I think these colour contrast really well and are also very eye change colours this will make my magazine stand out.  I have also chosen this colours as I want my magazine to look like the gold addition of NME as I want my magazine to look alternative but also classy and neat.
